A new Toyota. -Info- Toyota has unveiled the new Pixis Space in Japan. Essentially a rebadged Daihatsu Move Conte, the PS is Toyota's first mini-vehicle. The standard model is relatively basic, but Custom variants are distinguished by an aerodynamic body kit, HID headlights and a revised grille. Inside, the 2490mm wheelbase provides "plenty of room for four adults" while still offering "sufficient luggage space." That's debatable, but here's to hoping you have small friends. Performance specifications weren't released, but the Pixis has a 660cc engine which is available in both naturally-aspirated and turbocharged guise. Regardless of which mill is selected, it is paired to a continuously variable transmission. Front wheel drive is standard, but higher-end models have four-wheel drive and an eco-IDLE start/stop system which enables the car to return 60 mpg.
